Three leaves & longer stem on end
Easy access to sainthood for anyone who wants it:
One of the big jobs that has to be done is to clear the poison ivy near the sand. In the sand beyond the cabin the poison ivy is going wild.
Poison ivy hasĀ solid green, pointed leaves that hang from the stem in groups of three. The end leaf has a longer stalk than the two side leaves:

It grows as both a vine and a shrub. The look of poison ivy can change with the seasons. It produces yellow-green flowers in the spring and its green leaves can change to yellow and red in autumn.
- leaves of poison ivy may be shiny or dull
- leaf margins may be toothed or wavy or have no teeth at all
- leaves may be hairy or have no hairs at all
- in all cases it has compound leaves that consist of three leaflets
- leaflets are 2-5 inches long, green during the growing season and red in fall
- leaves are arranged in an alternate pattern on the stem
- end leaflet has a longer stalk than side leaflets
